Job Details

Seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator to perform complex to highly complex computer systems administration. The IAM Administrator manages the authorization, authentication, and related permissions to ERS computer systems.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage centralized authentication and identity management for ERS. Participate in creating, logging and resolving tickets to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate completion/resolution of requests and issues. Develop an understanding of, assess and manage business risk associated with the access to critical computer systems at ERS.
  • Manage the identity management tools for ERS. Provide operational support for systems providing access and identity management. Improve management of existing authorization and authentication methods, data and tools.
  • Update and maintain processes and controls for security and change management associated with IAM tools and activities. Update and maintain quality validations and reports for enterprise access across applications. Support and enhance the agency-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) process model supporting privileged access management, including policy and procedural controls for access.
  • Research, assess and evaluate new, upgraded and developing systems and technologies to determine suitability for current and future identity and access management needs. Evaluate systems and access design for discrepancies and vulnerabilities; suggest and carry-out improvements. Provide recommendations including new features, capacity and licensing requirements, high-availability, identity integration and risk assessment as appropriate. Maintain current knowledge of technology, solutions and security.
  • Conduct development and documentation of best practices, operating procedures and guidelines and provide quality control through the application of standards and by ensuring that user requirements are met. Analyze existing procedures for efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in the design and implementation of IAM standards, tools and methodologies. Develop, collect and analyze metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in data processing, computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems or a related field; or attainment of a diploma from a two-year technical school with specialization in computer technology plus two years of related work experience. Each year of experience may substitute for the education on a 30 semester hour per year basis.
  • Two (2) years experience with authentication, roles and permissions associated with Active Directory and NTFS.

Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications:

  • Experience scripting using tools such as Powershell, Perl and Python.
  • Experience with integration, authentication, authorization, single sign-on, identity federation, LDAP and enterprise account management.
  • Experience with identity and access management security tools/services for example, Okta, Azure AD, Microsoft Identity Manager, and DUO.
